EO
Founded in 2014, EO Charging is one of the UK’s success stories in electric charging solutions. It is important to note that EO is a suitable manufacturer to choose if you are a residential client and just need a wall box charger that is suitable for keeping one or two PHEVs topped up as well as all-electrics. Their Mini Pro 3, for example, might look very discreet when it is installed professionally but it certainly gets the job done efficiently.
The reason it is worth pointing out that EO makes domestic charging units is that for some time it has been primarily associated with the commercial side of the market. Some big names and early adopters of electrically powered road logistics – such as Amazon, Tesco and DHL – use their systems for charging their fleets. The firm also makes chargers that are suitable for use by electric bus operators. That said, they are no longer solely a commercially focussed manufacturer, making them an ideal partner for us at Hydra Installs.

Manufacturers of both tethered and untethered charging stations, Easee makes high-quality products that are good for both residential and commercial EV charger installations. Known for its powerful 7kW electric vehicle charger, residential customers may be drawn to the security of its units. If your driveway can be accessed quite easily from the street, then a secure charger that only authorised people can use may be important to you. There again, their sleek aesthetic designs mean that many people like their chargers at their homes based on looks alone.
Easee’s 22kW chargers may be more aimed at commercial developers and for shared units, perhaps in apartment blocks, but they are no less stylish. Easee makes it easy for businesses to scale up their electric fleet, too. Their products are purpose-built to be future-proof and to offer scalability from one electric car or van to dozens without having to start over from scratch.

What’s more, Sevadis makes great systems that are suitable for either wall mounting or fixing to the ground as floor-standing units. Either way, you can expect exceptional levels of reliability and weather resistance from the entire Sevadis range.
The manufacturer’s Scatalo Duo Power Pro is a powerful example from their wall-mounted range. It is OZEV-approved and provides the required capacity to charge two vehicles simultaneously if wanted. If you want something smaller, then look at their Stilo 7kW tethered unit or ask us for specific advice given your driving needs.
Based in Essex, Hydra is a first-rate manufacturer of both 7kW and 22kW charging systems. Affording a great deal of versatility, their EV chargers are suited to nearly every installation setting you can imagine. The Hydra Zodiac charger is a fine example which is suited to both commercial and residential settings. It comes with a long warranty period and can be used outdoors – with IP65 weatherproofing – or in a garage as required.
