Is a 1 Phase 7kW Home Charger Suitable for Your Property?
Yes, in all likelihood a 1-phase 7kW EV charger will be suited to the sort of property you currently own or rent. These types of installations are suited to nearly all dwellings where there is off-street parking available. We’ll need to confirm some of the technical details before we can proceed with an installation. However, this can usually be arranged simply by taking a photograph of your fuse box or distribution board and sending it to us for assessment.
Please note that, here at Hydra Installs, we also install 3-phase 22kW EV chargers. As the name suggests, these units have three-phase outlets. Essentially, this makes for faster charging times than a 7kW system would be capable of. However, depending on your car and the size of the battery pack it has, a 7kW EV charger may be all you will ever need. Note that some properties cannot accommodate 3-phase charging so a 1-phase 7kW EV charger will be the best bet under such circumstances.

We have a simple questionnaire to complete to establish whether a 7kW EV charger installation will be possible at your property. It only has three questions so it won’t take long to complete. If there is something that is unclear or you have a larger commercial installation in mind, then we will conduct a site survey. Either way, we’ll provide a tailored ev charger installation quote. If agreed, we’ll simply ask for a deposit and you can expect the installation to commence within a 7 to 10-day time frame.
